1.The cause of distress is set concepts in the mind that things should be a certain way. 2. Sometimes we feel like giving up, frustrated. It is because of stress. That time do not take any decisions. You may regret it. Come back to yourself first. 3. If you have a stress-free mind, your thoughts will be positive. 4. Train the mind to live in the present moment. Drop the stress that you are carrying for nothing. Our smile is worth the whole world & more! 5. No work is stressful. It is your inability to manage your body, mind, and emotions that makes it stressful. 6. You don’t have to keep stress and anxiety. Just dump it. What are Masters for?

Try to make an evaluation of what you have been throughout the year that has gone by. Have you grasped each day and made a gainful step upward and Godward towards your Destiny? Have you converted experiences that you encounter into things of increased wisdom and greater inner strength? And in the light of this evaluation, have you been better equipped to move towards this great new wondrous gift of God—one more year of 365 virgin days? Each day is filled with twenty-four golden hours, each set with sixty diamond minutes—precious, invaluable, beyond compare. They are yours to be utilised and filled with divinity, love, compassion, wisdom, spiritual aspiration, sincere sadhana. You can do all these things and more to enrich yourself.

The Lord advises us to act without attachment, so that instead of gathering new impressions, we may make use of our activities for the exhaustion of the existing vasana-dirt in our mental equipment.

"Do the best and leave the rest" is the key motto in Karma Yoga. The 'doing of the best', of course, does not mean being foolhardy or going headlong without thought on consequences, but the harnessing of one's full resources to the execution of a noble ideal which is calculated to aid one in the attainment of God-realisation.To 'leave the rest' is to resign the results of the work to God, for, when even the best that one can do falls short of the effort needed to achieve a desired result, the mind is likely to get upset, which is not the spirit of Karma Yoga. All work is God's,—even the Sadhana that we do.

Till one becomes simple like a child, one cannot get divine illumination. Forget all the worldly knowledge that you have acquired and become as ignorant of it as a child; then you will get the knowledge of the truth.

Is it not only One even now? It always remains One only. Diversity lies in your imagination only. Unitary Being need not be acquired.

Some of our desires are realised, but many are thwarted. If each one of us has his way, he would like all his desires to be fulfilled. There is no greater gain than contentment. A man who is fully endowed this important virtue is the richest man in the world. Your will has become weak through various desires. Kill all desires. Desires make you beggar. Destroy them to the very root by Vivek, Vairag, Tyag. Even Indra cannot enjoy that bliss which a sage who is free from all desires enjoys. Brahman is free from desire.

All that is real in me is God; all that is real in God is I. The gulf between God and me is thus bridged. Thus by knowing God, we find that the kingdom of heaven is within us . All truth is eternal. Truth is nobody's property; no race, no individual can lay any exclusive claim to it. " Truth is the nature of all souls.

"Everything originates in thought power. When though power is intensified and made pure it becomes will power. When will power becomes stronger and purer, you'll have action power in your physical body. Will power does not come by merely thinking, it comes by action."

In times of pressure, stopping yourself for a minute and assessing your thoughts, then going backwards, and checking the beliefs which are the root cause of the thoughts at that particular moment and then changing them requires strength and clarity, which we will obtain through the medium of spiritual wisdom. Once the beliefs are corrected, the thought patterns will change.

Your Atman is the support of the universe, whose support do you stand in need of?  Wait with patience and love and strength. If helpers are not ready now, they will come in time. Why should we be in a hurry?  The real working force of all great work is in its almost unperceived beginnings.

No saint has been able to maintain the spiritual balance throughout his life. There have been occasional reversals though these might not have left any impressionon their minds any more than the mark left by a stick drawn on water. But the mark is there when it appears. Such is the difficulty of leading the spiritual life. The case of immature seekers is much more precarious, indeed.

“You should thank the one who draws attention to something in you, rather than being offended. Actually that person is doing you a great favour and service by giving you some knowledge about yourself which you, by yourself, have been unable to obtain”

"Anger is a sign of Tamas. In anger man loses all discrimination. Hanuman set fire to Lanka, but he had not the sense then to apprehend that it might burn even the place where Sita was staying."

48. Sri Ramana Maharishi

"The feeling ‘I work’ is the hindrance. Ask yourself ‘who works?’ Remember who you are. Then the work will not bind you; it will go on automatically.  Make no effort either to work or to renounce; your effort is the bondage. What is destined to happen will happen. If you are destined not to work, work cannot be had even if you hunt for it; if you are destined to work, you will not be able to avoid it; you will be forced to engage yourself in it. So, leave it to the higher power; you cannot renounce or retain as you choose."

47. Sri Anandamayi Ma

"Whatever work you have to do, do it with a singleness of purpose, with all the simplicity, contentment and joy you are capable of. Thus only will you be able to reap the best fruit of work. In fullness of time, the dry leaves of life will naturally drop off and new ones shoot forth.”

46. Swami Sivananda

"Nature tries to keep us healthy, but we bring on sickness by continuous violation of the laws of nature. In the animal kingdom, there is seldom any sickness, because animals do not violate the laws of nature. Before the age of machinery, man's life was more natural. Persons of the past generations were much stronger and healthier. Life in the twentieth century is becoming more and more artificial. Hence there is much deterioration in health and strength. In spite of the innumerable doctors and the latest medical discoveries our health is still deteriorating."

“Opportunities in life come to everyone of us Almost all the time, They come in streams, in hosts, And knock at our doors, We are either ‘out’ or sleeping “in”. Be awake, Be alert, Be prepared To make use of them.”

You Cannot Make Anybody Happy : In this world there is always a play of positive and negative. Some problems come, some challenges come, and solutions also follow them. The ancient people would simply focus on keeping their energy high. If your energy is high and people come to you, their problems will get solved. What happens when people talk to you about their problems? You get steeped in their problems. You get carried away with the problems. So just try this. Let everybody come and complain 100 things to you, you simply keep your energy high, your sight inwards, your mind inwards as though nothing has happened. You will realize that there is freedom within you. Try this –  anybody can complain about anything, let the world go topsy-turvy, but hold onto the idea – I am going to keep my energy high. You just take one such step and then see

Body is but a skeleton of the graveyard, clothed with a perspiring skin, rounded off with filth, blood and urine. Its greatness is only because of the presence of God. When once He departs, the skin and filth return back to the five elements from which they had come. The skeleton gives its meaningless wisdom smile at the fool who thought himself to be eternally great, wise, loving and so on.

42.Sri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa

The mature stage of bhakti is bhava. When one attains it one remains speechless, thinking of Satchidananda. The feeling of an ordinary man can go only that far. When bhava ripens it becomes mahabhava. Prema is the last. You know the difference between a green mango and a ripe one. Unalloyed love of God is the essential thing. All else is unreal.

41. Sri Ramana Maharishi

The attempt to destroy the ego or the mind through sadhanas other than atma vichara, is just like the thief assuming the guise of a policeman to catch the thief, that is himself. Atma vichara alone can reveal the truth that neither the ego nor the mind really exists, and enables one to realise the pure, undifferentiated Being of the Self or the Absolute.

The power of Paramatma is unbounded. It can bring about strange occurrences. Hence if a miracle takes place, it is in consonance with the nature of that power, and is, therefore, natural.

The precious diamond is within you, but you run after the broken glass-pieces in vain. Even so, the ocean of bliss is within you; the fountain of joy is within you; and yet, you run here and there in search of it. The Sun of suns is ever shining in you, but your blind eyes cannot behold it. The eternal sound is ringing within you, but your deaf ears cannot hear it. Go wherever you may, to Gulmarg or Pahalgam in Kashmir, to Darjeeling or Simla, to Vienna or the Alps. It is all the same. You will not find any real rest. The charming scenery may soothe the retina for a second.

Efficiency in us is the freedom to set up willfully our own inherent abilities and capacities, which we exhibit in the fields of our actions. The efficient and the inefficient ones are ever there among those who strive in the numberless departments of human activities. Nowhere is efficiency measured by the quantity of work done, nor is it estimated by the texture and quality of work turned out. In fact, efficiency of a man is expressed in the dynamism of his actions and in the cheerfulness in his work. In the glow of the very work turned out, we glimpse the efficiency of the worker.

Forgiving someone shows one’s compassion. Asking for forgiveness shows that you recognize your mistakes, and that you resolve not to repeat them in the future. Now to say, ‘Only if he/she asks me for forgiveness will I forgive them’, this is of a lower form of forgiveness. The highest form of forgiveness is to realize that the other committed a mistake out to ignorance, and having a sense of compassion for them. Forgiving others with a sense of compassion is the best for of forgiveness. Cultivating this sense of forgiveness in oneself is a mark of being noble in character.

Live life to the fullest and enjoy it but not at the cost of giving up values. Let every person whom you come in contact with, feel you are different not only in terms of personality and skills but also in terms of your basic nature and the virtues or qualities you possess. Then the world will become a beautiful place to live in and we will be like one big family closely knit together in a bond of pure love and happiness.

35. Swami Udit Chaithanya

True freedom lies in being content now. You can be content in the present moment by resolving the inner dialogue that generates stress and conflict in you. When you are content, enjoying yourself and having a good time, you don't realize how time passes. This means that, if we lived in a state of constant happiness, we wouldn't realize how time passes. Time would be at our service. We would be the rulers and controllers of time and not the other way round.

Please don’t bind another with your love. Because you make the other fellow also dissipate energy along with you. Then what should be my relation with others? Toward all around you, just be friendly. In friendship, I love you, but you are not tied to my will. You have every freedom to do what you like. Lovers always want to force the beloved to do whatever they want. That is the quality of a possessive lover. If it is friendship, each has all the freedom to do what he likes. You still love like a friend. There is no bondage. It is pure love. Cultivate relationships that allow free thought and action. At all times, send out love to all, kindness to all, blessings to all. Soon you will find all, including your enemies showering you with love.

33. Swami Sivananda

What is pleasure for you is pain for another man. What is pleasure for you now is pain after some time. The first two cups of milk give you pleasure. The third cup induces disgust, nausea, and retching. Milk does not give pleasure during fever. Therefore, pleasure is not in the objects, but in the imagination or inclination of the mind. Pleasure and pain, beauty and ugliness, are all false imaginations of the mind. Mind is a false, illusory product. Conceptions of the mind also must, therefore, be false. Pleasure and pain are in the mind only. It is subjective.

Just as a fruit falls from the tree when ripe, so an aspirant will certainly renounce his family life like saltless gruel as soon as he becomes fully mature, unless his prarabdha interferes as an obstacle.

Everybody will surely be liberated. But one should follow the instructions of the guru; if one follows a devious path, one will suffer in trying to retrace one's It takes a long time to achieve A man may fail to obtain it in this life. Perhaps he will realize God only after many births. Sages like Janaka performed worldly duties. They performed them, bearing God in their minds, as a dancing-girl dances, keeping jars or trays on her head. Haven't you seen how the women in northwest India walk, talking and laughing while carrying water-pitchers on their beads?.
